German I (Online)
Are you curious about learning the German language, but don’t know where to start? Then this class is for you, because it is designed for people with no previous German experience. The topics we will discuss include greetings, family, friends, shopping, and food. We will meet weekly on Zoom and use the course, Die neue Linie 1 A1.1, and the Google Classroom learning management system. * Students will need to purchase the book, Die neue Linie 1 A1.1, on their own for $40.00 with taxes and shipping.
Martin Hidy
Martin Hidy began his study of German with his European-born, German-speaking parents. He continued his studies at the University of Minnesota and earned an undergraduate degree in German Education. He has taught German in both small-town and suburban schools and at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels, most recently in the Edina Public Schools. His visits to the German-speaking world include six trips and tours with students, adults, family, and friends. He has over twenty years of experience teaching German through the Eden Prairie Community Education program.
