A must-have skill to succeed in business, whether an entrepreneur or a valued employee, is the ability to create, edit and manage spreadsheets. Microsoft Excel is the most used spreadsheet tool in the world.
Begin with learning how an Excel worksheet is constructed, populated with content, and edited for delivery. Discover how various menu items, commands, settings and processes affects the look of your Excel worksheets and workbooks.
Then, increase your efficiency by learning how to organize, display and calculate your data into useful information. Identify different types of data and how data can be best visually represented or formatted, by using different data tool techniques.
Finally, you’ll learn a variety of Excel’s most powerful features to analyze data quickly and easily. This Certificate will help you discover how to attractively visualize your data into meaningful information with confidence.
NOTE: Students must have Microsoft Excel to complete this certificate.

-Mastering Microsoft Excel (Sept.8-Oct. 2)
-Intermediate Excel (Oct. 5-30)
-Advanced Excel (Nov. 2-27)

Amy Klous completed a BA in Entrepreneurship and an MBA. She has nearly 20 years experience in marketing and the majority of that time was spent working for corporations using Excel to analyze sales and industry data. Her Excel students appreciate the hands-on learning and Amy’s patient teaching style. Amy runs a marketing advising + training business where she helps overwhelmed small businesses feel comfortable and understand how to market their business effectively.
Elizabeth Flanagan co-founded WorkStrengths.com because she is passionate about helping individuals and companies leverage their talent to achieve their leadership potential, develop professional capabilities, and maximize effectiveness. She is results-oriented and pragmatic, drawing on 20+ years experience in executive positions within large Fortune 500 corporations and top-tier venture-funded startups – all of which gives her a broad perspective on the unique challenges workers and leaders face today. Elizabeth holds an AB from Harvard University, cum laude, and an MBA from University of Virginia. In addition, she is a frequent speaker on the topic of Leadership Development and Gallup's CliftonStrengths (StrengthsFinder).
John Rutledge has over 25 years’ experience in the IT field, he has a BA in Psychology and a Diploma in Computer Programming as well as having received numerous certifications and awards. He holds a Microsoft Office Master Certification and has a globally-recognized ICDL (International Computer Driver’s License) certification as well. John was the Manager of a Technical Support Desk for a multinational for several years. Prior to that, he held roles as Project Lead on a national software implementation project, Systems Analyst and Programmer Analyst. Currently the owner of an IT Consultancy firm, John works regularly with businesses of all sizes to assist them in understanding and managing their data.
