Journey with us as we explore three local faith communities as a group. Interfaith Circle is partnering with Community Education and the City of Eden Prairie to offer this FREE interfaith tour as part of PeopleFest!, a community-wide celebration of culture. Community members are encouraged to join us on a bus tour (space is limited), which will include visits to all of the faith communities in the tour. People are also welcome to drive themselves and join us for any or all of the tours. The schedule is below.

12:30 Masjid Al-Tawba Tour: Islam

1:30 Tu Viện Tây Phương Buddhist Meditation Center Tour: Buddhist 

2:30 Return to Sri Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple

Upon arrival at each site, you will be welcomed by a member of that faith community, who will provide the group with a tour and briefly share a bit about their religion (tours are educational in nature). This is a unique opportunity to learn about other religions first-hand, in a friendly and inclusive environment. Come with questions; respectful inquiry is encouraged! 

Traditional Indian food will be available for purchase at the Sri Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple. Please bring money if this is of interest to you.

Out of respect for the sacred spaces we will be visiting, please do not wear shorts; modest clothing is suggested. You may be asked to remove your hats and shoes once inside the building. Women could bring head scarves if available. There is no smoking allowed at any of the sites.

Pre-registration is required for both individuals riding the bus and those driving separately. Save your spot today!

Additional information for those interested in taking the bus:

Participants are responsible for getting to the first site, where there is ample parking. You may park at the Temple, or if necessary, the Ebenezer Building next door.

The bus is wheelchair accessible. Contact Molly Malone at mmalone@edenpr.org to reserve an accessible spot.

Children are welcome to join the tours, but the bus is not able to accommodate car seats.

Please note a $5 no-show fee will be charged to those who reserve a spot on the bus and do not attend. Cancellations must be made by noon on Thursday, August 3 to avoid this fee.
