Improv with Stevie Ray'sOak Point/Eagle Heights: After SchoolYouth Improv Learn to think on your feet, gain self-confidence, and have a ton of fun performing with your friends. No experience necessary. This hands-on, active class uses improv games to teach great skills. The class is taught by instructors from Stevie Ray’s Improv Company, one of the longest running improv theaters in Minnesota. Organization Stevie Ray’s Improv Company is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to using the techniques of improvisation to help students gain self-confidence, speaking ability, and teamwork. Founded by Stevie Ray and Pamela Mayne in 1989, the organization has been serving the Twin Cities for over 36 years. Located at the famous Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret brings laughter to audiences every weekend year round, featuring veteran professionals as well as emerging artists that Stevie Ray’s trains to join the world of performing arts. Improv-Beginner IIPersonal DevelopmentBuild upon the skills you learned from the Improv-Beginner I class with this class! *Must have take the Improv Beginner I class to register. Led by Stevie Ray’s Improv Company, one of Minnesota’s longest-running and most respected improv theaters, this fun and supportive class will help you develop creativity, communication, and performance skills you can use on or off the stage. Students will finish off their program by having a recital at Chanhassen Dinner Theater for their friends and family. Audience members will be charged $5 to come and watch the recital. This goes towards the staff of Stevie Ray for hosting the show and to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre.
