In this playful, hands-on camp, young creators dream up and build forts of all kinds—from cozy blanket hideaways to elaborate outdoor structures. Campers will collaborate to sketch their ideas (underground tunnels, maze forts, tree forts, and more) before bringing them to life using a variety of materials. Together, we’ll explore fort-building in nature, experiment with string and fabric, and even repurpose found objects. Guided by imagination, students will discover endless possibilities as they explore physics and engineering concepts such as velocity, projectiles, trajectories, force, and motion. Working in pairs, they will experiment each day with new ways to combine LEGO pieces to trigger chain reactions. Multiplayer Minecraft: World BuilderWeek 11: August 24-27Unleash your creativity as you work collaboratively! Create a world with others in four unique, themed quadrants. Build different biomes or base a section on your favorite movie or video game! Meld your quadrants with bridges and separate them with moats of water, lava, or even the void! Students will get a copy of the world map to take home and expand on. We will be using the PC/Java edition of Minecraft. Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day. Volleyball CampWeek 11: August 24-27DASH Sports Summer Volleyball camps provide players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key volleyball skills such as passing, serving, and hitting will be taught and practiced throughout the week. Fun, volleyball skill specific games are also incorporated, giving players game type experience, and a better understanding of the game!
