Beginner Pickleball Lv. 1 (18+)
New to pickleball? This fun, welcoming class is designed for adults who want to learn the game from the ground up—no experience necessary! You’ll learn the basic rules, court positioning, scoring, serving, returning, and essential shots including dinks, volleys, and groundstrokes. We’ll also cover pickleball terminology, strategy, safety, and court etiquette so you’ll feel comfortable joining a recreational game. Each class includes instruction, skill-building drills, and plenty of supervised play. Come ready to move, meet new people, and discover why pickleball is one of the fastest-growing and most enjoyable sports around!
*Please dress comfortably with appropriate footwear for movement. Pickleball paddles will be available for use, but feel free to bring your own.

Susan loves the game of pickleball and has a passion for helping others learn to play, build their skills, and discover how much fun the game can be! A former collegiate racquetball player, she was excited to pick up a paddle and learn this new sport. Her own pickleball journey began in a Community Education beginner class—just like this one—and has grown into playing at higher levels, including leagues, and lessons from professional pickleball players. Susan especially enjoys encouraging new players, helping them gain confidence on the court, and inspiring them to keep learning and improving their game. She hopes to give others the same great start that sparked her own love of pickleball!
