You will be trained in CPR and Airway Obstruction for adults, children, and infants by practicing your skills with manikins and AED (Automated External Defibrillators) trainers. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing and lifting. Please inform your instructor if you have any physical conditions that might prevent these activities. Consider bringing a pad or blanket to kneel on. Additionally, this course covers first aid. Learn a plan of action to recognize and deal with sudden illnesses, injuries, and environmental emergencies. This video-based, instructor-led course teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. Successful participation in this all in-person course results in an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Heartsaver® Certification. The Certificate is valid for two years. Athleticism CampWeek 5: July 13-16DASH Sports Summer Athleticism camps provide participants with an overall athleticism building camp experience including speed training, agility, endurance, body control/balance, quickness, strength, power, and jumping. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall athletic performance. All participants will be evaluated and timed on the first and last day of camp on several athletic tests.
