Bicycle Repair and MaintenanceWeek 5: July 13-164 Day Camps will teach you basic bike set up, trailside repair, shifting adjustments, brake adjustments, learn how to re-cable a bike for shifting and brakes, tube replacement, tips & tricks, and preparing a bike for selling (if interested), Students are free to bring a different bike to each class. Bike Repair/Maintenance: Trailside and HomeHobbiesMany of your bike issues can be solved in this class! Major focus will be on identification of bicycle parts, trailside repair, shifting adjustments, brake adjustments, chain maintenance, how to repair/replace a tube (flat tire), how to safety check your bike. If time allows, we will also learn basic wheel truing, replacing a chain, how to replace brake and shifting cables. Build & Defend: Strategy Game CodingWeek 4: July 6-9Get ready to take charge in this action-packed coding camp! Students will design and program their own Tower Defense–style game while learning the fundamentals of programming. Using Construct 3, a visual coding platform, they’ll explore how game frameworks work and practice coding concepts such as variables, events, conditions, and loops. Campers will create paths, position defensive towers, and program waves of enemies to challenge their defenses. Together, we’ll explore fort-building in nature, experiment with string and fabric, and even repurpose found objects. CMS MorningsCMS Mornings Program Update CMS Mornings program will be transitioning to a new registration and enrollment model beginning in the 2026–27 school year. These updates are designed to improve consistency in programming, simplify planning for families, and introduce new enrichment opportunities for students. In addition, due to lower enrollment in the program, these changes will help ensure we can offer a sustainable, high-quality experience for students moving forward. Registration for 2026-27 CMS Mornings will open on Monday, May 18, at 9 a.m.! 2025-2026 School Year Program Hours: 7:00 – 9:15 a.m. Location: Central Middle School Non-Refundable One-Time Registration Fee at time of contract acceptance: $50 registration fee per student The rates for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows: $18/day $23/day for "drop-in" days CMS Mornings is offered before school from 7:00am - 9:15 am. It is a program designed to provide a structured environment for students prior to the school day at Central Middle School. In addition, the program will include optional themed activities or projects, which may be offered on a weekly or monthly basis. These enrichment opportunities are designed to enhance the program experience, but participation is completely optional. Students will continue to have a choice in how they spend their time each morning. Students are dismissed from CMS Mornings to get ready for class once the busses start to arrive and the school is open for all students. Students will continue to have a choice in how they spend their time each morning. **Specific themed activities and projects will be communicated via CMS Mornings Newsletters as they become available.** Students may arrive at any time during program hours, between 7:00 AM and 9:15 AM, providing flexibility for family schedules. Registration: Registration is required for the full-week session (Monday–Friday), regardless of the amount of days a student attends per week. Any weeks with holidays and/or non-school days will be adjusted accordingly. Program fees are also due at the time of registration. Schedule Changes and Cancellation: Families may make changes or cancel a registered week up to 7 days in advance of the section's start date (Refund Eligible). If a cancellation or change is made within 7 days of the scheduled week, the registration fee for that week will be non-refundable.
